I've liked the same person for 1 year and 5 months. No matter what, I can't get my mind off of him. I do everything I can and he's still on my mind. I don't know how to stop it. I'm not obsessed over him though, like, I don't ask his friends about him or stalk his internet pages (e.g.: myspace/facebook), and no one except for my closest friend knows that I still like him. I know that we'll never be together.

Is it normal to like someone for that long?

    this is a stupid question.... how do you think people stay married for 30,40 even 60 years... and still love each other.

    Dont do it! It fucks up the friendship, and if you do make sure both of you KNOW you want it dont go in with doubts, if sucessful you may have a beautiful relationship, however if failed you make lose more than you want

    yeah veryy normal :) same thing has happened with me but try and make the first move. Maybe he does actually like you and is just shy.
    The boy i like is unfortunately one of my best friends and so i know he doesn't like me that way but ah well
