Is it normal to like scremo?

actually i think they're posers for thinking that you need to dress a certain way in order to appeal to a certain sub-culture revolving around a fanbase of a musical genre.

err that sounded very redundant but my excuse is i'm stoned... either way i'm not saying you're a poser either but i would asume that most emos are poser considering how much the culture has changed in the past twenty years. they used to dress kind of dorky when the subculture first emerged from some random city in the united states into this goth-looking style. err i guess it was the bands that started to influence the style.

either way i guess most people have two differant ideas of what makes somone a poser. the emo might think somone is a poser because they relate to their subculture and maybe they look up to that culture but they fail to meet the preresiquites required to be considered what they believe is a "true emo" but i personally think that if somone needs to appeal to the nature of anything in the sense of their personallity then they are posers.

Listen to what you enjoy, fuck people who don't respect that.

Ah fucking emo's and goths dress senses annoy me. Sure you like the music (which i do to) but it don't make you dress like a twat with stupid hair and jeans than make me wonder if I could snap your legs with my thumb and forefinger.

Well I really don't care what music you listen to or how you dress. It's your choice. But one question: how is someone screaming into a microphone and pounding drums (screamo guitar and bass sound decent) even entertaining?

definitely normal, I listen to screamo all the time and my wardrobe consists of skinny jeans, converse and band tees. people think I'm weird for listening to it, but I love it, it's practically the only thing on my iPod. just ignore people :P

I love screamo (and yes im emo) but hey I understand the styles not for everyone.my motto is share the love...in this case the love is music.

I dislike people who think they are different because they listen to screamo and dress like the genre. You like a song genre and you like a certain way you dress your not unormal you are as normal as it comes no amount of screamo music and dark clothes will change that.
