Is it normal to like people for their looks

personally I think that personality is what counts but all the guys are inlove with perfect girls/guys and the girls are inlove with perfect girls/guys, is that normal for people to like people for their looks? is it normal for people only wanting to continue a conversation with someone because of their looks? usually on msn I can talk to someone and they won't really continue a conversation till I put a picture of a model and they assume its me and then they always sign on and say " hey beautiful" or something, is that normal for our generation to think that way. is that the way of getting friends, by being perfect even though there is no such thing?

    Like Centerfield said, it is the sad truth. We live in a pretty backward society. People can be real assholes, and it almost alway's start's at an early age(Im talkin sometimes as young as five or six).

    Children get there little crushes, they fall into there little clique's. Some kid's get excluded because of it(get picked last in gym class/pushed around on the play ground). It's really very sad. And then on tv, mother's are sending there three year old's to enter into pagaent's(gives out the wrong message), the so called, celebrities(not all of them) are all about there fakeness. Fake boob's, fake ass, face lift, etc. Everybody seem's to wanna be this reflection of perfection, and it's just not happening! Nothing in this world is perfect, and could ever be perfect! It just gives out the wrong message to people, and make's you have mental problem's. And I'm not gonna lie, I've felt not good enough before. And I think we all do sometimes. But just because our society is like this. This harsh, doesn't mean that it's right. Personality should probably come first before anything else.

    I don't that is true. If you are trying to meet people online then that's your problem. Most of the people asking to see your pic are buttass ugly as well. Feel good on the inside and it will shine through on the outside. Nobody likes someone who is insecure! Turn off!!!!
