I self-harm fairly often. Whenever I see new or old scars from my cutting on my arms it makes me feel happy. Running my fingers over them, the feeling of them is really nice.
Man I felt that you're my hero. People like you who is happy with your scars are very brave and heroic in nature.
I think its normal.. I used to crye and hate them when they were fresh but as the grow and become prettier ...I kinda like them now
Really strange but I like my scars too ..
I always figured it was because it shows a time you felt awful and it reminds you that things are better now ..
Or maybe because of the fact that when you self harm it's because of internal pain and these scars help visualise the pain you're feeling?

i used to hate mine, now im fascinated by them, love running my fingers over mine, like seeing others too. to my eyes, because im used to seeing someone who is 'other' (physical deformities etc) because i myself fit the category it doesnt raise any alarm or discomfort or shock for me to see others scars. i think they look beautiful/sexy tbh.
It's common among self harmers. I would say it's usually either because you associate it with the feeling which gives you a rush of endorphins, or because you feel like they validate the pain you are in. Self harming though of course is not normal, reach out to someone if you haven't already.
Liking the feeling of scars is normal. Self-harming and feeling happy because of it is extremely abnormal. Stop if you care for yourself.
