Is it normal to like geeky people more?
To me it seems like the geeks, nerds, dorks, and all generally awkward, socially oblivious people are more true to themselves than the cool, popular, hipster crowd. I feel like they don't put themselves under the pressure of trying to fit in or look different- they're just who they are. They're more approachable and tend to be more genuine friends, as well as very artistic and creative. If they open up to you, they have more interesting things to say then the in-crowd, who all only talk about the party they went to on the weekend. They stick out like an (awesome) sore thumb in a sea of conformists and clones. Is it normal that I like the nerds more than the in-crowd?
