The way your question is worded, you are saying that YOU like cats and dogs better than OTHER PEOPLE like cats and dogs. You should have said: "I like cats and dogs better than I like people."

How old are you? Ten? If you were any older, surely you would have better sense than to make such an asinine comment. Either that, or you're such a misfit that "other people" can't stand to be around you and you have to depend on "cats and dogs" for company!
