Is it normal to like being in closed spaces?

I can't even sleep with my door open. When I sleep I just like to wrap up in blankets almost like a cocoon, barely can move just tight around me. When I was you young I really loved playing in boxes, because they would close and encase me in darkness. Also when I sit on the couch I almost sit up right in a ball. I wonder if other people do it or is there something wrong with me? If I'm with people I know I can't curl into a ball so I just stay close to people, I really love receiving hugs too. Tight hugs and to be in the middle of people when we sit close.

My mother says I might have vampire in me because I hate garlic and like being in closed dark spaces.

    LOL

Maybe its some kind of security thing that goes back to how an infant feels when in its mothers womb? It would explain the lack of space, the warmth, the darkness and the feeling of safety?
