Sorry, but this isn't normal. Well, I can only speak for me but....with my best friends, I don't ever lie. They accept me for who I am....or they aren't my friend! They often wonder why I'm still single, but I'll never make up a SO to "fit in" or embellish a story for the attention. I'm sorry you are in this predicament now....but I suppose you must now lie in the bed you have made.
