Is it normal to lie about when you work, and how much you make?

I have had my job for about four months now, and I make 50 bucks a day which is about 3-5 hours of work. However everytime a friend of mine asks m e if I can hang out I always say I am working, but I am not. So when I am working they get kinda upset because I am "always" working. Also I tend to lie about what I make.. Like I will say I make the 50 in two hours.. Instead of 3-5.. Is it normal?

    But yeah to be honest i wouldn't worry about it, alot of people lie about that kinda stuff...i have witnessed it myself even in high managerial positions.

    Why are you lying? That's the real problem. Have the guts to just say you don't want to do something instead of lying about being at work and find your self worth in something other than money!
