Is it normal to leak oils when taking diet pills ?

So I wanted a quick way to lose some weight before summer comes around again. I bought the alli weight loss aid ( which has been popular on websites I've researched at ) though the side effects said " leaking of oils " I wasn't sure of what that meant so I was testing it out. I only toke two and the next day yellow gooey like liquid started to leak which caused a stench so I just stopped taking the pills. Its been three days and it's still leaking, when will it stop ? And is it normal ?

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • ME TOO! I took them in high school when Alli first came out...I freaked out when my underwear were full of orange grease. SO gross. That's why the instructions tell you to only have 9g of fat a day. That's how Alli worked for me- I quit eating fatty foods so I wouldn't grease my pants everyday. Yikes. Wear a pad, or avoid fatty foods.

  • Most diet aids come with unpleasant side effects. The best way to diet is to eat healthily and exercise more. If you want to maintain your target weight, you'll need to do that anyway, so why not get into the habit now?

  • It's normal, I saw on the news that if you're taking them you're supposed to carry a pair of clean underware and pants because those pills can cause diarreah and some people don't even feel like they just shit their pants!!

People are losing from 28 lbs to 62 lbs on average…
It’s up to 276% more effective than most diet and exercise plans…
And it has a whopping 93% success rate.

  • Yes, the most widely used weight loss pills ( http://www.mynetpharma.com/weight-loss-medicines.asp ) like Xenical can produce side effects such as oil spotting. So do not panic.

  • Yes, it's completely normal to have oils in your stool when taking alli. Alli prevents your body from absorbing fat in food, but that fat has to go somewhere. If you start eating low fat meals, it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

  • This never happened to me but it happened to my mom. She said that it happened to her on diet pills when she at something bad for you like pizza and garlic knots for example. It will stop don't worry! But diet pills don't really work... I am thinner now that I am healthy and exercise and eat right then when I was taking diet pills, doing cocaine every day, and smoking five or six cigarettes a day (all things which are supposed to help you lose weight) I would ditch the pills. Drinking tea will help you lose weight though.

  • Alli causes your body to "release" all the fat from the foods you eat, therefore your body does not hold on to those fats. Have you ever noticed that grease from pizza, or tacos is orange or dark yellow? That's the fat. That's what your body is throwing out due to the Alli pills. You are suppose to wear a pad or something in that nature when taking those pills. It is normal, it's the way the pills work to keep your body from holding on to the fats in food. If you want to keep taking them, then I suggest you eat less fatty foods, and wear a pad. Good luck!
