Hey, (in a friendly way hey, not yelling hey) I've lived in California my whole life, and you people always hate LA and San Francisco, well, the mountains are nice. I'm not too far from Yosemite and a couple of lakes, great state parks. I work downtown Columbia, and if you want to meet nice people that don't care where you're from, visit sometime. Sometimes I'll ask as a conversation starter, but mainly to get customers talking. Accents are always interesting to me, and Boston's got a good one =]
Ps, to rule out stereotypes:
1) not everyone knows how to surf
2) not everyone is a political activist
3) not everyone is gay
4) not everyone likes that California girls song, and not everyone can understand our governor. Lol
