Is it normal to kill snails to prevent their potential future suffering?

I have this OCD where whenever I see a snail or a cockaroach on the street I immediately have to step on it and kill him quickly and painlessly.
The reason I do that is I always imagine some kid taking the said snail or cockaroach home and torturing him for hours with a lighter or tweezer or something.
I see it as a "coup de grace".

    It seems unlikely that any individual snail will end up being tortured. In the end you are just pointlessly killing them.

    Kill the cockroaches, but leave the poor snails alone.

    Well it’s quite common for OCD compulsions to be weird, so I guess it’s not too unusual, the reason is kind of weird though, I hate cockroaches!!!!! Fuckin disgusting ugly pests!!!!!, but awwwwwwwwww poor snails, the snails are cute and as far as I know harmless, please don’t kill the snails :-(

    I do this too! It completely normal! But I also go ahead and torture them so they are not denied the experience!!

    If I wanted to torture a snail, I’d use salt not tweezers or fire. They just kinda.... melt away.

    i just imagine the cockroaches might become Mexicans and the snails might become Frenchmen, and i see a democrat congress letting them vote someday. so i project my thoughts into the minds of creeps and they smash them .
