Most of your comment is - as mine was - a matter of opinion, but this is nonsense:
"...your hearing... goes to shit with age regardless so worrying about it to that degree, is redundant."
What "blasting" music means in terms of decibel level is subjective, but it is a fact that loud sounds cause the death of hair cells in the inner ear. Hearing does tend to gradually become impaired with age, but it's not inevitable that everyone is going to end up deaf, and so you might as well not give a shit about trying to limit the damage when you're young.
That's kinda like saying that since knee and hip joints tend to gradually become damaged as we get older, there's nothing wrong with running ten miles on asphalt every day in hiking boots when you're in your teens and twenties, or that since heart and lung function tends to decline with age anyway, you might as well smoke four packs of cigarettes a day.
I'm in my mid-sixties and I can count on one hand the number of rock concerts I've attended, I've never worked in a job involving a lot of industrial noise and I've never enjoyed listening to music at high volume. I know I've lost some high-frequency hearing because I can't hear some faint, high-pitched sounds that my twelve year-old daughter can, but apart from that, my hearing is good.
On the other hand, my wife is in her fifties, and she definitely has noticeably impaired hearing. She has no doubts that this is entirely due to her having worked as a punk and rock concert sound technician for a few months in her youth.
"...your hearing... goes to shit with age regardless so worrying about it to that degree, is redundant."
The point is that acuity of sound perception (especially high frequency) declines to certain levels with age and cannot be avoided. This begs the question of the threshold of damage from loud sounds and how the accumulated damage compares with degradation associated with normal aging.
That said, clearly non-linear relationships exist. Dr. Tommy is saying, shake the shack with that nasty live concert recording, but limit the decibel level to 90% or so of a damaging level; more or less depending on length of exposure. Me thinks that get you get the idea. When your twelve year old daughter cranks the stereo, tell her to back off on the volume when the windows start to rattle. Her young hormones need to express themselves.
It is a matter of opinion, but when it’s filled with cliched “complainer” garbage I feel the need to offer an alternative.
Being a “complainer” or looking down on people in retrospect is not the same thing as being “mature.” It’s being the same douche many turn into, deluding themselves that they’ve quote on quote “grown.”
even if I was a "dickhead", most of my neighbors won't even care at least I don't blast it all out at night. At least I blast it at the most appropriate time. I asked people outside of this website and they say it's normal and that it's all about identity. I could keep talking to you all day.
I've blasted it many times and I haven't been or become deaf, how is this "nonsense"?
Like I said I use this as a good coping mechanism.
I could be old and still blast music and it's not going to affect me nor will it affect anyone.
Is it normal to keep blasting music?

Yes but Booj, this quote makes a point,
