  • I think this is normal, but for some it can be harder to overcome. Cognitive Therapy has recently come to be a very successful method to help people to overcome such dysfunctional and distorted thinking and emotions that you seem to suffer, i.e. feeling down about yourself and emotionally criticizing and beating yourself. Such feelings aren't healthy and can over time take their toll. If with time you struggle to overcome this, it's probably best you talk with your doctor. Take his/her advice, but mention and discuss the possibility of Cognitive Therapy.
