Is it normal to intensely crave sex as a virgin?

I'm a 19 handsome, nice guy and a virgin. I've been in a good number of relationships, but they were never long or serious enough for me to feel like I wanted to "give it up", I have friends who have had sex and while they enjoy it - they don't think about it/talk about it nearly as much as i do. I Constantly think about sexual things and... i take care of my thoughts frequently. is it normal to crave something you don't even know anything about?
