People who type like you, "citrusflavour01", should be hung upside down naked in public and flogged in the genitals with a straggly broomstick.

PS: I'm not the OP, but I'm sure they'll sleep calmly thinking of doing that to you.

It sounds like you may be dealing with "intrusive thoughts". What I refer to by this is a common symptom of many mental illnesses (even less severe ones) in which one is subject to thoughts they cannot control of one of the following:

Obsessive Compulsive tendencies (common ones include thoughts centered around a number; cleanliness; or any other improper cause-effect relationship)

    Thoughts of self-harm

    Thoughts of harming another

Distasteful sexual fantasies (masochism, rape, etc)

What separates "intrusive thoughts" from "normal" ones is that these are often uncontrollable to an extent. If you find yourself routinely coming back to these themes in thinking, or find that they are brought on instantly by seeing or hearing specific things, it is likely that these are what you're experiencing.

In a sense, it is normal in that many people struggle with them. What I would advise, however, is a separation of your personality from these thoughts. Although your brain may be comforted by them temporarily, or they may enter your stream of consciousness, they are not what defines you as a person. They are thoughts that you have, and nothing else.

If you find yourself continuing to have these thoughts, or if they discomfort you in any way, I advise seeking counseling. Keep in mind that you are not broken or a 'psychopath' because of these things; these are simply thoughts, and do not define you.

I also do the same thing except only with strangers, not friends.

Now, is it normal? I only said yes because I think most humans naturally have those thoughts. Should you ever act on them? Obviously not. Just keep it to fantasies.

    HelpMePlzPlz,

You REALLY have to ask us if this kind of thinking is "normal"?
If you (honestly) aren't sure, then you should seek some counceling, BEFORE you act on any of your thoughts, fantasies, or dreams, etc.....
This is absolutely NOT NORMAL !

People like you get me thinking on how many people around my place have the same thought like you. Make me feel quite unsafe to go outside if I were to encounter the fucked up one that actually physically harm others. People have dark and fucked up thoughts at times but as long as you're sane enough to not act on that dark fantasies, it's fine.

However, do yourself and others a favor and go seek actual mental help if your dark thought starts to take its toll on your sanity or go seek help this instant for hopefully better result.

"do you feel your emotions strongly?"

Again, he wants to hurt people in unthought of ways. Kinda a strong emotion don't you think.

Probably should mention that in your post details. Because what you do say is that thinking about hurting people calms you down before you sleep. That would tell me you are hurt and angry, the thought of hurting and getting revenge on others calms you down.

I honestly think you should try to find a mental health professional with whom you can talk about this

You should probably see a therapist.

My favorite one is loading a shotgun shell with salt. Then using it repeatedly to blast off a guys leg.
