Is it normal to imagine people?

I'm a maladaptive daydreamer, meaning that I almost constantly have a "movie" playing in my head. But sometimes it's not just a movie, sometimes I'm actually talking to someone, on the phone, like they're with me everywhere (who it is, depends on the mood, it can be celebrities or just fictional people). It's all in my head and I can separate it from reality, believe me I KNOW it's not real. It's just everywhere, it's me being interviewed or just talking about my day or feelings to someone. I'm never alone, 'cause there's always someone else "with" me. I think it has something to do with the maladaptive daydreaming, but it's also very different from that I guess...

Same thing happens to me. I think it's fairly normal.
