Is it normal to imagine myself as someone else

I often like to read or watch movies, and once I am finished with one I like, I often picture myself as that person for a day or too after and it goes as far to the fact that I surprise myself when I see myself in the mirror and not the other person.

I do the same thing. I think it's just empathizing with a character and/or admiring them and wanting to emulate them.

I've seen lot's of kids do that, I did it, and I still do it. I'll be watchng a T.V. show and next thing ya know, I'm walking in a circle talking to myself and making hand motions. Sometimes I don't even really talk, I just move my mouth. So I say it's preety normal.
