you shouldnt of stopped talking to her just because of her friends so no its not normal. I had the same problem in highschool my friend adriana starting talking to more people and i just ignored her knew friends i said hi once in a while and talked to her but before i knew it i barley talked to her. What i wish i should of done was hang out with her and her friends that was the only way i could have stayed friends with her but its to late. (for me) because i beat up her boyfriend so ya he hated me and always talked bad about me infront of her. and if she likes you that much, that shes cutting herself maybe you should talk to her more and try to get along with her new friends if you cant stand them hang out with your friends and her. if that dont work and you like her more then friends ask her on a date (if you like her). I liked adriana but i didnt know she liked me so i never asked her out i wish i would have done something.
