Is it normal to hug your neighbor after seeing them?

My dad and stepmom are really close with our neighbors and whenever I see them I want to hug them. I'm a 16 yr old boy and the daughters next door are 16, 15, and 10. They always hug my dad and step mom whenever they leave our house. Would it be weird if I started hugging their mother as well? I just feel so awkward when everybody is hugging and I'm sort of like just left out.

Is It Normal?

    Girls hug and boys handshake. Unless their Mom starts hugging you stop being so sensitive. I am sure they all like you.

    I don’t think it’s weird, they all do it so it’s already going on, join in if you like but ask first, it’s cute how you all hug :-)

    If I was 16 I would hug the 15 and 16 every chance I got. Unless they are to damn ugly. Then I would hide and be happy to be left out.
