Is it normal to hold your breath when passing certain people?

I hold my breath when I am walking past old, ugly or disgusting looking people or combinations of the three. Is this normal? I don't wish them any harm, I just don't want to breathe the same air as them.

    So, based on someone's physical appearance, you think they don't deserve to breathe the same air as you? Truth is everything you see is an illusion anyway. If you're asking me, it's very ignorant and stuck up of you to think that way, and it's not normal.

        It made me sad. Some old people are awesome. They should be so fucking to interact with my gram. And ugly and disgusting are subjective terms. And just existing doesn't taint the air. Not usually. Childish was the only word I could think of at the time without over explaining myself.

          I agree with that, but I said that because to me this is beyond childish. I think even the average child would have better behavior than this. To think there's people walking around like this is what's disturbing to me.

    When you said you didn't want to breathe the same air, I thought you were saying they were not worthy of breathing the same air as you. That's just plain arrogant. But when you explained what you really meant I understand better. Like, if they look sick...I get it.

    I admit, I do this too.

    But not because of the mentioned above, it's if they're sneezing or coughing or something, I hold my breathe as I walk past because I don't want to catch a cold.

    It's probably trivial, and will make no sense whatsoever but it's something I've done ever since I was little /:
