Oh my God! Yes! It's just wrong! Women are weaker, that means the most you should do is hold them tightly! That'll show them and teach them never to do it to somebody ever again! If you hit a woman that is hitting you, then you are scum!
My actual feelings towards it:
Yes, there are plenty of reasons why you should hit a woman, they're the same ones on why you would hit a man. If you're trying to tell that you aren't allowed to use your strength on those wishing to do you harm due to them being weaker then what you are doing is taking away the male strength and allowing the female's to be used, ergo women end up with the only usable strength.
"I feel awful for having to defend myself".
Our fuckin' society, man...I swear. Men actually feel guilty for hitting a woman that's hitting them...Ugh.
So I have more of a suggestion. Treat women hitting men the same as the reverse, ergo they get the same charges or allow men to hit them back so they learn to keep their hands to themselves that way, because society as it stands is saying "Go ahead, hit him, all he can do is hold you tightly to make you stop, I know right? Sooooooo scary".
Anyone that thinks a woman being hit in a situation you think it's acceptable to hit a man for doing the same, is quite frankly, a sexist to both genders.
You are sexist to men because you support their abuse by not allowing them to show why they should not be hit and you are sexist to women by treating them like children that aren't responsible for their actions.
The great damn irony of the "You can't hit a girl!" mentality is that you are basically calling women children.
