If his disorganized/distorted thinking gets fixed then there is nothing to lie about. Handling psychosis, paranoia, delusions, unstable behavior is what antipsychotics do. With effective treatment schizophrenics can lead a fulfilling life.
"I never told her about my families history, and I did lie and tell her my father was an alcoholic in and out of rehab when really he has been an inpatient for years now"
This is what I have a problem with right here. Iin isn't a medical forum.
Then report the question if you have a problem with it. Medical/health questions are asked here all the time. Didn't you yourself ask a question about "steroids and sex"?
It sucks to have schizophrenia, or a history of it in ones family, but it's so insanely not cool to keep it a secret from ones significant other. OP probably thinks he'll never get married, and have kids if he doesn't hide this stuff, but it's so unfair to just lie to to someone by omission. This sort of thing doesn't generally turn out well. It's scary really is what it is.
Yes Rose I agree 100%. I understand why OP doesn't share this shit, but it is still very wrong not to! Especially when his gf asked him what was up directly.
That's why it bugged me when this guy replies "just take these meds" or whatever.
IIN to hide family mental health history from gf?

Lol beat me to it and look how he pretends he didnt see your question
It doesn't deserve being reported. That wasn't OP's intent of the question. If it was, the post would have been called something else.
