Is it normal to hear voices that make you harm yourself

I have these voices in my head that tell me that I need to die and that I either have to cut myself or they will make me hurt people I love.

Is It Normal?

    No it's not normal to hear voices. I suggest you go see a psychiatrist or a psychologist for treatment options.

    They are auditory hallucinations. The treatment is with antipsychotic medications.

      Not necessarily, 1/3 of people will hear voices at some point in their life. Not everybody who hears voices is psychotic. I do agree with the seeking help though.

    I have hearing Vocies like that ever since I was 14 sadly I listened to them sometimes. I still hear them but I take medication(Prozac) and it keeps me somewhat stable.

    It depends on whether they are just normal internal monologue, if so, then yeah it's pretty normal. But, if you feel it's external then definitely seek help from a psychiatrist for treatment and possible medication to help alleviate psychosis.

    If you take your medication like prescribed, then Then voices will go away.

    Yeah I also have these voices that tell me things to do or cut... My shoulder looks like a zoomed in picture of a blanket. Message me if you need reassurance bye
