Is it normal to hear people calling my name in my head?

This used to happen to me all the time and I never discussed it with anyone because it sounded a bit odd. It was more often than not my mother's voice but one time on the Isle of Man, it was a random stranger's voice.

If we're both insane, then at least we're not alone in this.

If it's always in bed (when you're about to fall asleep), you may just be having hypnogogic hallucinations. I have 'em. Completely normal. :)

It happens to me sometimes when I'm listening to music. If you're really worried about this, go see a doctor.

Yeah, that's totally normal. Heaps of people get it. It's also apparently a sign of a healthy mind.

Happened to me twice when i was falling asleep, but in different weeks...

If i know I am not paying attention at work, I will on occasion blurt out "what?" and have people look at me strangly. I hear my name being called and check around the room. Sometime I even ask some people if they say my name.. its odd. but normal

I just posted about how I always hear people calling my name when in bed, in fact as I was lying down for a nap this afternoon, I heard my mom call my name and I live alone!

@inn2lol maybe you right. Maybe there is a real meaning behind it.

I have it too! But not family just random friends. I always thought i heard ther Voice when they think of me or something
