Is it normal to have your own thoughts?

I think Disney Channel is crap .
I think Miley Cyrus is stupid and so is her music.

I don't want to be controlled my media.I rebel against what the media thinks is right. I don't like perfectly toned guys. I 'm a FA. I love big guys.Big hairy guys who smelled natural.Or guys who ain't afraid to get their hands dirty and wear regular jeans and are secure in their own skin.

I hate skinny jeans. It just looks stupid.Even more stupid is when its worn with converse or vans shoes.I'm not saying this cuz i cant fit . I'm skinny. And I'm not proud.

I hate the asian invasion. But I think it will pass anyway.

I think the two guys in Rebecca Black's video "Friday" should date each other since they both look so homosexual. I had to resist my urge to puke my guts out when that guy in the front seat swayed with music.
This video made me worry about America's next generation.

I love it when cockatoos dance.

I think obsessions are okay. What matters is what you are obsessed with.
If you are a nature freak or you are obsessed about books and you are considered a freak by all your party-going,MTV-watching friends, then they are just jealous of you. They are jealous because you actually have a passion in life.

A trip to the zoo is much more entertaining than one in the mall.

I dont think girly-girls are girly-girls by nature. They are made.

Is it normal to have your own opinions?

  • I think your trying to be a hipster. People don't randomly say "I rebel against society" unless they want attention or have something specific that they don't agree with, but it's like you hate everything on purpose for shock value.

    • Actually, I'm purposely a rebel against society cause I hate how this generation's turning out. Everything's going to hell right now, and I hate it. I stay disconnected deliberately so I'm not captured by today's standards and such. So yes, you can say that you rebel against society without simply looking for attention.

  • you have every right to have the opinions you do and good for you for speaking up about them. but they're kind of dumb and once you experience real life they'll change, so please don't think you'll hold on to them for very long or that they're even remotely important. but kudos for keeping it real and honest.

  • You have a right to opinions., but that doesn't mean you have to make them hostile and arrogant.

  • Of course it's normal to have your own opinions. I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus either or skinny jeans. I don't like the disney channel, but when I was young I did. I think sometimes obsessions can be okay, as long as they're not harming yourself or other people. I would take the zoo over the mall any day! My mom and my sister are always strolling through the mall for hours. I go in, get what I have to get, and I'm ready to leave. A lot of times I end up not buying a thing. I think girly girls are made too. I don't like perfectly toned guys either. Who the heck cares if their body isn't perfectly toned?

And I don't think you sound like a jerk. And having these opinions don't necessarily make you "so confident". When I was a teenager, I had these opinions too. And let me tell ya, I wasn't the most confident girl in high school. And I never said them to try to sound more superior either. I could see why people might get that impression, though. But I know, you probably really feel strongly about those opions you have. I was always confident about my opinions too. And it's what has always set me apart. You can't help that. It's what you feel.

But just learn to accept people for who they are inside. I know a lot of people who follow the trends, wearing skinny jeans, watching those stupid mtv shows, but they're still good people. When they find out that I listen to my mom's Barry Manilow cd, I'm sure they'll laugh, and think it's funny. But you gotta give people a break. You've probably just matured faster. They'll learn to give you a break too.

  • Tone down on the confidence, you're making yourself seem like a jerk. You're not the only one who thinks this way, so stop acting like your way more superior than all the other teens out there...
