Is it normal to have white curd like substance in vulva?

Sorry to bring up such a sensitive topic, but I'm wondering whether others get this...
No matter how much I wash and shower (which is everyday), I always seem to have a curd-like white substance around my clitoris and vulva. It's not discharge - it's thicker, and when I've seen doctors, it hasn't been unusual. But do others get it? Any help is appreciated - thank you!

    I had the same thing so I went to the doctor but she said I don't have a yeast infection. It was just bits of toilet paper. .__.;

I laughed my arse off at this.

Also, I think it's quite normal. A girlfriend had it one time, she said it was called 'Whites'. Google that.

I've actually found to get that a fair bit. Thanks for the advice.

Sounds like thrush, look it up on google, some anti-biotics often cause this. Nothing to worry about.

I've never thought it was thrush, because I had this issue even when I was a young child. Plus, I never get any of the symptoms of thrush.

It could be from the soaps you are using. If you go to the health store and pick up an all natural plant based soap.
Using animal fat is common in a lot of soaps, avoid using products with animal fat. It causes infection and build up. Which could be your problem

I use feminine soaps, a brand we have in the UK called Femfresh. It's specially pH balanced for the vagina so it doesn't cause itching.

try the summers eve line. they're feminine hygiene products that prevent vaginal infections and that are a lot less expensive then what's at the health food store.

    • Yup, had a gf who washed her pussy with soap. First time I saw her do that I warned her that soap kills off the bacteria her pussy needs.

You can get 'feminine wash' liquid soaps. Or best, just wash it with water, even after a sticky sex session.

Along came a spider that sat down beside her and said, "damn baby, at least it's not jock itch."

What does it taste like? If it's sour, you have thrush. If it's sweet, stop eating cottage cheese in bed.

It sounds like you might have an infection.

I,ll pop round in the morning and take a look, meanwhile do not wash your pussy or any panties as I will need them for my research.

I have considerable knowledge on this subject, so if you could send me several pairs of your stained panties I will investigate the stains.

Whoa, I have like the same exact thing as you! But my sister and I call it "butt germs". Kinda immature. I have had it since I was little, so hopefully it's normal =P

It's natural to have some discharge that may be white or off-white. But if it is the consistency of cottage-cheese or has a bad odor, then you need to pick up some meds for yeast infection. It can be dangerous and one day cause fertility problems. Always take care of that kitty of yours. :)

A vagina is a replica of the mouth, they both need constant moisture to function. Maybe that's all it is. I've got that too, always have. I reckon you should worry less about your vagina and concentrate on things going on around you. Let your body do what its supposed to do

Seriously though. I do think it's normal. Someone mentioned if you get turned on a lot during the day and then nothing happens. All the wetness and juices will get thicker in certain areas.

I don't think that it's anything to be worried about and from the sound of it it doesn't seem to me that it's an yeast infection. If the gyne told you not to worry then you shouldn't.

If you've already seen a doctor about it and they've said it's nothing then it's probably just normal discharge. If you get horny during the day it can increase the amount of discharge so it might be that too.

If you're really that worried go and see a gynecologist. They'll be able to tell you for sure what it is.

It could be just normal vaginal fluids some women discharge more than others but to be on the safe side go to the doctor for a second opinion.

STOP washing down there, you can end up with an infection if not already, the vagina cleans itself.... If its itchy it may be thrush and that's easy to deal with, wear cotton underwear and buy an over the counter medicine to stop the itchy, if its not, but your experiencing pain it may be VB (google it) and that will need antibiotics to sort it out. Otherwise it is normal to have discharge, it shouldn't smell if it does it should be like a musty smell.....

Sorry to disagree, but I think that you shouldn't advise her to STOP washing down there. The vagina may clean itself but the vulva certainly DOESN'T.

Actually I can, if you don't want to stop washing that's fine but don't use soaps.
