Is it normal to have weird reaction to human touch

Normally, I absolutely HATE being touched, particularly on my hands and wrists. It physically burns and itches whenever anyone touches me and I've been known to scratch the area wherever I was touched to the point of drawing blood in an attempt to relieve the horrible sensation. However, I've noticed recently that I have this one friend who I don't mind physical contact at all. I don't really have a crush on her, but I just don't mind it at all, even if she hugs me. Honestly, it actually feels AMAZING when she hugs me. I don't bother her about it or hug her a lot, but I really can't explain it. What could this mean? Am I crazy?

I know exactly what you are going through- in fact it happens with me too. There is a good chance you have tactile defensiveness, a disorder making you sensitive to touch. A very minor case if you had it. I have it bad. I have to wear special clothes, socks, shoes, and I flip out if I am touched any wear that causes the slightest bit of irritation (ribs, neck, etc). The fact that it is one girl is even more normal. You may find her sanitary, or very light with touch. I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you like her a lot but just don't know it.
