It's been said by every psychology expert out there, everybody has violent thoughts and it's very normal.
It's when you have real trouble holding them in that one should worry. I myself have a low threshold for discharge of aggression, and have hurt several people over small disputes.
When a violent thought becomes a sudden urge, the brain says "wait!" If that doesn't happen the person will act, I have this in about a 50/50 ratio, so I need to walk away from stressful situations as I may do serious damage to the other person, property, myself or all three.
You haven't beaten anybody up on instinct yet I'm guessing, so you've got the little no-no voice and should be ok. You seem aware enough to control yourself.
