Is it normal to have trouble putting together sentences?

ever since i was little, i've had trouble putting sentences together. whenever i try to speak half of the i have to stop myself and start over. i was a late talker and had used sign language up to the point of 4 years old, so i think that may have something to do with it.

is it normal?

Yes, it is normal for me. I was developmentally delayed too. I am not a fast thinker. I like to take time to think out what I want to say. That is why I type a lot and not call or skype

It all makes sense. There are a lot of people like that. You will find a way to work it out.

My ex wife was kind of like that, and, she was dyslexic. Problem was, she was so resistant to helping herself or changing, it just got worse and made her look, if I may..Stupid. I tried helping her here and there, but she always took it as criticizing and being mean. No, it wasn't mean; It was trying to make her realize, you look stupid and are embarrassing yourself (and me).

I knew, early on in college, she had some of this. Would leave messages on my dorm door, saying she was "In the loby", and "Stoped bye see you". Felt like I needed an interpreter to read her messages. She was no better verbally.
