    Seriously. How about getting a roommate to help pay the rent?
    Do you have the time for a second job? When I visited Israel, almost EVERYONE had a second job because everything was so expensive there. I was offered a good job, but I never would have been able to save enough to sail away if I took it. Better to go, short on funds.
    Do you have any talents you might sell, such as writing articles for publications (or whatever equals that on the web) about things you are accomplished at?
    Of course, I know nothing beyond what you posted, but you may need to find cheaper accommodation.
    There are government assistance programs to insure that Americans have enough healthy food to survive on. You could see if there are programs you can qualify for, especially if you are a student.

      First should come a detailed income:expenses report. Track every penny earned and spent. A roommate or second job isn't going to help if you're a fool with money and don't stick to a budget. Most people don't realize how much they waste until they track expenses and see it in black and white.

      Also consider what you do with the money you spend on things which aren't bare necessities.

        I'd tell you ANYTHING to get you off this site forever, so yeah, I'm a jue, living in someone's attic, playing with my rubber ducky in the bathtub, which I call the Caribbean Sea. Every now and then this wee volcanic island appears right in front of my belly, but after it erupts, it sinks below the sea again.
