Is it normal to have to lock the door when showering?

I feel the same way! I can hardly close my eyes while washing my face cause i get so paranoid someone will come in!

That hollow core door with the flimsy lock will keep you safe from the most determined murderous rapist.

I do the same exact thing! I've watched so many horror movies and horror shows that I've become really paranoid to the point where, when I'm in the shower, I look behind the curtain about every couple minutes to make sure that there is no one else in there with a knife about ready to stab me. XD The lock on my bathroom door is broken, so that's why I always make sure that there's no one else in there who is gonna murder me, lol. I totally understand how you feel, and I think this is completely normal.

I do that all the time. I think it's a habit we all get into.

You just have to hope you never slip in the shower or something.

Locking the door won't stop your brother and his spycam hidden in the vent.

Well, It's also a habit that people learn throughout their life. You may be adapted to locking the bathroom door no matter what because you don't want anyone barging in on you, (family members).

If you mean the bathroom door...no freaking duh!!! If you mean the house door, hmmm, I'd say you're a bit paranoid.

Do you fear someone killing you or someone seeing you naked?

I'm just worried that someone will burst in and see. What you have is an irrational fear. But hey, keep on locking if it makes you happy.

Seems like a safe thing to do. I'd say you are normal.
