Weird dreams happen with all people from time to time.
I doubt you know how to start and use a real blowtorch (I haven't seen one in decades, and my dad taught me how to start one and use it in the 1960's).
Blow touches predate all the modern propane/mapp/etc gas cylinders. It was liquid fueled from a small gas can.
To start them you put a little fuel into a tray and lit it - which warmed up the torch burner and the fuel tank to pressurize the fuel tank - and allow proper vaporization of the liquid fuel in the torch burner.
They actually worked very well - and do not create a waste stream of small empty containers.
Likewise I have a similar design Swedish backpacking & camping stove (Optimus 8R). It runs on a variety of liquid fuels (including auto gasoline) so a person can travel the world with it and always find fuel locally.
My gas storage bottle carries far more fuel than an equivalent sized disposable propane, etc. canister camp stove (They go through several canisters of fuel while I'm on my original load of gas in my storage bottle), and no waste canisters. There is a noticeable price difference in fuel cost as well (disposable canisters are not cheap).
I'll admit that propane and other pressurized container fuels are more convenient to use, and significantly reduce the possibility of fuel leakage/spillage and resulting fire. But, convenience has a cost as well.
oh i know how they work ive played with em as a novelty and yeah theyre the same principle as the ole pump up camp stove
disposability aint a big deal in my mind
oxy acetylene get reused and like mapp gas steel is infinitely recyclable
but much like i complain about this modern world im a victim of the kinda thinkin that leads to buyin a steady streama disposable crap for my convenience
also my fave is the propane tiger torch that runs off 20 pound gas grill bottles for startin brush burns
fuck tryinta get fire runnin off diesel & used motor oil & cardboard & wastin firewood
Is it normal to have this very specific and creepy dream?
