In my first year of university, I was in small work-group discussion about Virgil's Aeneid. I (jokingly) compared the tragic character of Dido to a hormonal woman on her period; an innocent joke I thought. Most of the people in the group were girls, and mostly feminists. Let's just say it didn't exactly fly with them. Other than that, I am all for equal gender rights and equality. Its the extremists that usually tarnish it for everyone else.
