Your inability to scream suggests a sort of paralysis. Where in your life do you feel stunted, impotent and essentially paralyzed? Are you closer to your little sister than the rest of your family? Do you feel isolated in anyway from the rest of your family? Do you feel the need to prove yourself to your family?
It's always me with a younger family member. I don't feel very isolated, I figured it was me not being able to cry out for help in real life. I always just freeze and run when something terrible happens, but never like I do in dreams.
Um hmm, yes. So it's a manifestation of a fear of that paralysis you experience in real life when faced with crisis.
Now, the question would be what are you going to do about it? Perhaps learning some skills to prepare for a possible crisis would a good proactive move?
is it normal to have these type of nightmares

I found that lucid dreaming helps, I'll try it to see if it stops, if not, I'll try to prepare myself for anything that might happen later on.
