Maybe schizophrenia? I've had symptoms like that for years. When I was a little kid my most common paranoia was based around food. I always thought it was contaminated. I've getting that allot lately. I once saw the same breed of butterfly and after awhile I thought it was the same one and it was following me:/ Look up the symptoms and see if you can relate.
I strongly believe that I've had schizophrenia since I was a small child. I have just about all of the symptoms. But the people I tell my findings to refuse to believe me. So, I'm labeled with misdiagnoses and not get the proper help need:/
The fact that your mother has it could put you at a higher risk for developing it. Depression has some symptoms of it, but the paranoia, etc. That's usually part of schizophrenia. Read Dummies Guide to Schizophrenia or any Schizophrenia related book/site. They really helped to form some insight for me.
Is it normal to have these fleeting thoughts?

Do you have schizophrenia or just relate to some of the symptoms?
I like to think I'm just depressed and a little OCD. My mom has OCD and schizophrenia.
