Is it normal to have surges of energy?

Okay, today, whenever I go to walk, I will have surges of energy rush through my body, like pulses that distort my vision somewhat at times. I have no idea what this is. Is it normal?

Maybe, but today I've been having 'surges' of lack of energy where I felt like falling asleep.
