read it again. regarding rape and abuse, i just repeated what you wrote.
but what i had talked about before(and what covers many cases regarding animals in many countries) was animal cruelty laws, and thats a far different beast from both rape and abuse.
because legally, there is no case for "animal rape" or "animal abuse" in a LOT of countries.
So the legal paragraphs used are those about "animal cruelty" which cover anything "cruel" done to the animal.
Which, in turn, in many countries, due to "in dubio pro reo", leads to the party accusing someone of animal cruelty to have to proof that it was, in fact, "cruel". Which means many of those cases will not be handled if all that happened was a sexual act with an animal(you are also "petting" your animals without giving them choice, e.g....is that "cruel", too, then, as that could easily be "abuse")
While i absolutely understand your viewpoint, you need to understand that the LEGAL position is somewhat different, and LEGALLY, there's a huge difference between "rape/abuse" and "animal cruelty".
If you were to read up on that on the link i provided earlier, maybe you'll understand better what i'm trying to explain.
also, let me tell you that i have cats, and before they are neutered, they will come on to ANYONE when they are in heat. They would come to me, turn around, stick out their "bottom" and meow heavily. If there's any indication for animals in general, then in some cases THEY are trying to force an sexual act on their owners :P
Is it normal to have sex with an animal?

haha, na, not rape, but as mentioned, animal cruelty laws. But in those cases, it's a "case by case" decision of WHAT exactly happened.

but again, since the animal was given no real choice in the matter, how is forcing it into a sexual act *not* an act of rape or abuse?
