I totally see situations like this as incest... you grew up together. Honestly, how can you not think of her as a relative? I had a step brother when I was 8-13 yrs old and to this day, even though I haven't seen him in over 5 years, I think of him as my brother.
Pretty much. Anyone who has a title that relates to me such as brother, sister, step bro/sis, brother in law, sister in law, cousin, 2nd cousin, non-biological aunts and uncles, etc. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like these relations are wrong and honestly, I'm just going with my gut on this and I've never been in your situation. This is just one of few things I can't wrap my mind around and maybe I am being harsh and judgmental, but it just doesn't feel right to me.
I've considered this situation before: If I fell in love with a man who had a son and my daughter fell in love with his son I do not think it would be right for both me and my daughter to pursue a relationship with the man and his son. There would have to be a compromise; either I could date the man or my daughter could date his son.
I also am more against cheating on a spouse with a family member than any other type of cheating and I disagree more with family dating family's exes than friends dating friends' exes.
I wish I had some rationality and logic to go with my convictions, but I have none. Albeit I must know the reason behind my beliefs now, as I've never laid them out like this before.
Is it normal to have sex with an adopted sibling?
