I'm in college and recently I'm becoming really good friends with a Saudi Arabian student. He has a really inspirational story and we have similar passions about life. I know I will not fall in love with him or marry him. He cannot stay in America and I will never move to Saudi Arabia. We are really good friends and we've fooled around a couple times. I worry if I can handle having a fling if I know we'll never fall in love but we seem to be handling it well so far. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to lose my virginity to him. If it would be a painful story or a cute and worldly one. He makes me feel safe and comfortable.

    When I read the complete story after seeing the title I was surprised that it was written by a woman. From my experience usually guys go for the foreign students because they are simply 'easier' considering they are out of their natural environment, often looking for some social interaction and basically easier to get in the sack because they are simply more emotionally vulnerable.

    Anyway, in your case I would say it's normal and you shouldn't worry about him being foreign at all. You are obviously not in it for the sex only so why not put aside peoples' judgements and give it a try.

    I say go for it and act on what you're feeling otherwise you'll always wonder what if. Sometimes we analyze things too much focusing on a distant future which is unpredictable anyway. Go be with this person if it's what you really want and you're sure but be certain that you are not in love with the idea of this beautiful foreigner who makes you feel wonderful & safe it has to be HIM you want, besides if it ends up being true love & what matters is what's in the heart the rest would just be geography.
