So just because people have beliefs contrary to what you WANT them to believe, these people are irrational and stupid?
Why not just let them believe whatever they want to? Don't force anything, including SCIENCE, on people.
Science IS a system of belief, rooted in provable FACT (most of the time when it isn't bought-and-paid-for data rigging).

Science is not a belief system. If there is enough new evidence to contradict something previously thought to be the case in science, scientist will always concede that they need a new theory.
...Therefore they alter their belief system to fit the "facts".
