Is it normal to have pain during penetration?

So, I lost my virginity on April 28th, 2010 and I have had sex 52 times since then, however, regardless of how many times I have sex, when my boyfriend actually does penetrate it still hurts. Is it normal for it to hurt despite the amount of times we have had sex or not?

Pain during penetration is very common especially among men in prison.

Sometimes the hymen doesn't fully break during the first sexual experience.

I agree with the above posters. But there coul be another reason. A friend of mine had this same prob and went to the doctor and found put that her hymen was still in place and that's why it hurt. She just got it removed and all is good

  • Make sure you are relaxed and wet enough, if he doesn't place the foundations, it will hurt. Although, it'll hurt anyways, a penis getting stuck into your vagina isn't going to be a painless experience, no matter how much you do it.

At least from what I know lol.

Whoa, having a penis stuck into your vagina isn't going to be a painless experience, no matter how much you do it?

If that's what you know, you're doing it wrong...

Being well lubricated is often the problem women have if they're still experiencing discomfort or pain. It should be like a slip and slide down there, and if it isn't (which doesn't mean you weren't turned on enough, some women produce less fluid) you can just use lube. Try using it and if it's still painful and he's not hitting your cervix, ask your doctor. It should cause you to feel PLEASURE not PAIN.

      • I stand by what I say, I said it would never be a painless experience, not that it would be painful the whole time.

When a guy sticks it in there, it will hurt until your vagina is used to accomodating his length.

If a guy thrust himself into you right now, it would hurt, no?

You do know there was no need to be so insulting, everyone is different, so I'm not going to necessarily feel what you feel when you have sex.

Plus did I say the pain was a bad thing? =P
