The more you wash it, the oilier it gets. I used to wash mine daily, too.
It's so worth taking the time to cut it down to less washes. It feels gross in the process, but once it's under control, it feels so much better. Use an organic, paraben/petrochemical free shampoo (expensive, but aso so worth it - you only use a teeny tiny amount, it lasts long enough). I use a dry shampoo spray on the inbetween days, simply cos I can't stand the oiliness. I did get to washing every 2nd day with no oiliness inbetween but then my routine got out of whack so I'm back to working through the ick stage again. Next step - three days without washing...hmm...maybe.
