I grew up in the nineties too and trust me, had cell phones been more common back then, my family would have found much use for them.
I guess it's normal if you don't do much and people don't really need to contact you. For me, it is much better than a home phone. I don't stay in my house much, I have work and school and family matters. If someone were to call me house phone and need something urgently (like my boss needing someone to come in to fill for a no call no show)I likely won't get that call for many hours.
I also like being able to look things up wherever. Whenever I see a word that I don't know or an animal, plant, tree, insect, or anything that I am unfamiliar with, I just look it up then and there rather than promise to look it up later and forget =/
Is it normal to have no use for a cell phone whatsoever?
