  • You can't set goals if you don't have the raw information that enables you to decide what you really want.

    Take some time off. Travel around the world--or at least around the country. Explore activities, settings, and subjects that you have never explored before. Have experiences.

    Talk to people, lots of different people, young and old. Talk to those who are successful, and those who are failures. Talk to those who are happy, and those who are sad.

    Along the way, you may stumble across something that catches your interest. Explore it, see if it captivates your attention, and drives you to set, and then achieve, goals.

    There is no point in setting goals if they are just arbitrary, without any basis.
