I know what you mean, but in a way, at least in my opinion, that's just how the majority of people are. I wish you would reconsider your decision to shut yourself out from them though, unless your the kind of loner that actually enjoys being alone, then no big deal I guess, but if not, take it from me that it can really hurt you over time, perhaps permanently.

Well I am not planning to have no friends at all but for the time being, I better feel alone than with money conscious people.
