i think its normal, but you have to work out whatever it is thats stopping you before you get alot older and then it will just be harder. i took my boyfriend of 3yrs virginity when he was 20 (like 2 days b4 his 21 bday) i didnt know he was a virgin til a lil while later he told me. and i thought it was the sweetest most adorable thing ever. and i felt special that he felt more for me then any other girlfriend b4 me. but u do have to try and be if not confident, at least out-going. even people who have been dating and doing everything else get nervous of being shot down. u may be rejected, but u might not. you have to take risks sometimes to get good things in life. but dont rush into anything either. your not weird. im super confident, and even have suffered from severe vanity at times. lol but i still find myself shy around certain ppl. lol i completely ignore certain boys who i find extremely attractive. i dont speak and avoid eye contact lol because if they speak to me i blush... which embarrasses me even more! then i giggle and get super silly.
