        • Fuck it I will say it here again.

Gender is used to describe us as masculine or feminine. Male or female. Historically gender is synonymous with sex. There is a recent push to change the meaning of gender to describe social roles but that is a recent definition.

Gender being derived from genus is a classification of ones physical sex and thats its original meaning. But whatever. Be gender fluid for all I care.

          • This is historically accurate, but sometimes history needs to stay history. The present definition is accurate to the word today, so technically an argument could be made for both sides

            • To make my point I'll ask again. What is a gender reassignment surgery if gender is a social role?

              • That's most likely sex reassignment surgery, and it's so trans* people will feel less at odds with their bodies. If it is gender reassignment surgery, then gender might be a reference to it being the final step to their true gender.

            • The present definition is not accurate to the word today as you can see by the posts here.

If you want a word to describe "feeling" like a boy one day and a girl the next make up a new word.

But liberals don't do that because they like to cause confusion and discord within the population.
