Is it normal to have "impossible dreams"?

To transcend my biology, becoming the ultimate life-form?

To travel the ends of this universe?

To have a harem of extremely intelligent women?

To find my own technology development company. (Sort of like DARPA.)

In other words is it normal to have, as my mother would say, "Ungodly ambition"?

    Impossible dreams are the best dreams to go after. If you achieve them, you will hold no regrets. If you don't even try, then they're just fantasies.

    mermaids arent real they drown, i know cause i tried. i thought about this while i lay on the beach trying to catch my breath. innocence lost oh well

    1)Trascend your own biology
    Impossible.Even by accessing the most complicated and up to date technologies you'd only be able of creating another being,which would still function according to most biological processes known to men.
    2)Travel to the end of the universe
    Impossible.Only machines can travel that far.
    3)To have an harem of extremely intelligent women.
    Possible.But useless.Considering the fact that you only want it so you don't have to search for women to nail.Intelligent women wouldn't choose to live in an harem.
    4)To find your own technology development company.Possible.But you'd most likely have to struggle with a bunch of other very motivated and ruthless guys.So it would become a tech war for power.And there are guys way to much ahead of you.
    I wouldn't say it's normal,nor abnormal,it's just as you put it,Impossible dreams.
    Realizing what you can do within the boundaries of reality is the next step.
    When all of your wishes are granted,many of your dreams will be destroyed.
    You have only got one life,one head,two legs,two arms... and too many enemies for you to defeat.

      1. Many great spiritualists strive for this. What does "ultimate life form" mean to you? Keep seeking and never give up.

      3. A harem of intelligent women will never be (yours). They belong to the earth itself and will benefit all of humanity. To think you can own this undermines the intelligence of these women.

      4. Go ahead, if you want to find your own technology company. You have every right. Just don't focus too hard on the company aspect of this goal.

      There is nothing abnormal about having goals. Most people have unrealistic goals, but you should probably throw some attainable goals in the mix otherwise you might find yourself heading down the dangerous path of an egomaniac.

    Its always nice to turn to the children and say
    "Nothing can stop you fulfilling your dream"
    "you can be whatever you want to be"

    but sadly
    its not quite like that
    because there Are people who can stop you being
    what you want to be
    their are deadends, stonewalls, corperate ceilings
    procrastination

    so next time a kid tells you their dreams
    tell them "Never stop working towards your dreams, because no one can stop you from dreaming, nobody"

    Lol a harem? Anywho whats wrong with having fascinating and unique dreams? Seems normal to me. It's better than not having any dreams right?

    I imagine a lot of that too. Except the harem part. I always imagine I'm alone, or I can only share this higher state of being with one or two other people who have also achieved it.

    No, it is not normal. But that is where greatness comes from. "Normal" people end up living "normal" lives doing "normal" things on a "normal" day. Even if you do not reach your goals, having them so high means you will at least try and surpass "normal".
