Is it normal to have hallucinations before falling asleep?

Last night, I heard someone say "It's olga" or "It's older" or something like that, and over my shoulder I saw a dark figure. When I stood up to get a better look at it, it wasn't there.

Could be night terrors, could simply be you're so tired your brain is entering dream state before you're fully unconscious. It's happened to me before when I hadn't been sleeping well, seeing things like dancing lights on the wall or minor visual hallucinations like that.

It's perfectly normal and nothing I would worry about unless it begins to interfere with you getting a good night's sleep. You're just.. dreaming while awake.

I remember hearing some message late at night before bed a couple of years ago, but I can't remember specifically what the message said.

It was kinda cool, and in a way I wish it would repeat itself.

its normal , all minds work by filling in gaps of defective data . under low light conditions of inadequate data input the mind will create what is not present, same way with sound input. for instance seeing a white light at night the light that is nothing more than a light will be seen as anything the mind wants to see like alien spaceships. drink too much alcohol and the skanky bar fly you take home to screw will be perceived as Taylor Swift on a sex binge simply by inadequate data input from your sensors.

Yes, it has happened to me many times. I thinks it's called something like the Hypnotic or hipologic state maybe. Look up, "state between awake and asleep"

I guess the obvious question is; are you sober?
